Theta Xi at CU Boulder
Voted 2017 and 2018 Chapter of the Year by the Inter-fraternity Council at Boulder.
The Theta Xi Fraternity is the most active fraternity on the CU campus; not only embracing the traditional social, academic, and philanthropic aspects of Greek life, but also taking advantage of the unique opportunities Boulder and the American West have to offer through outdoor and sport activities. Since the founding of the Alpha Eta chapter at the University of Colorado in 1929, more than 1,000 men have passed through Theta Xi Alpha Eta; allowing them to receive more than just a degree from their college experience. These same men have gone on to become prominent leaders globally as brothers and alumni. Whether it's through athletics, business, politics, or scholarship, Theta Xi develops leadership and nobility among its members. This chapter is full of opportunities for one to pursue, and the brothers continuously strive for personal excellence.
Theta Xi works off the motto of Juncti Juvant, United they Serve. Theta Xi is a group of young men who work together to accomplish goals while assisting one another on their path to manhood. Theta Xi members push one another to strive for their best in all aspects of collegiate life through the principles of BALANCE: Brotherhood, Academics, Leadership, Adventure, Nobility, Community, and Excellence.
The Alpha Eta Chapter of the Theta Xi Fraternity firmly believes that adventure and organized sports help form stronger bonds of brotherhood. The chapter is very involved in a variety of intramurals, which promotes synergy among participants. The adventure sports aspect promotes moving beyond one's limits. Whether it's climbing a sheer cliff face in Rocky Mountain National Park, mountain biking the last mile of a trail in Moab, Utah, or relaxing on a houseboat on Lake Powell, Theta Xi helps its members experience the beauty of the outdoors and excel through difficult situations.
